Seems strange they didn't just pop a checque in with the letter admitting liability, assuming you have it in writing.

Only by email Fred. we've had one email to say that they'll look at my claim, and another email the other day to say they were processing our claim. Apart from that, nothing else i'm afraid.

Indeed, our men are real men ...... pint pots are the norm.. Obviously it takes longer to drink the tea. And more pee breaks are needed as well,so it stands to reason we can't work as much.

What you've written there doesn't necessarily sound like an admission of liability. Have they actually agreed to pay you?

You won't be ignored because they have a legal obligation to investigate all claims. Whether they are liable is another matter. I hope it goes in your favour.

Our daughter popped in tonight. She'd been into WHSmiths today and bought a book called "What's tha up to?". It's a policemans memoirs of life on the beat in sheffield in the 60's. It's been a very interesting read so far. Some of the chapters talk about his dealings with dodgy characters and parts of it sounds like the film Goodfella's. As we've read through, he talks alot about his landlady and the landladies son, May and Jud Proctor. These are my wifes grandma and uncle. Mo has had a right good giggle tonight. I look forward to reading the book myself when she's finished it.
