A question for you fellow hijackers as i'm looking for some tips on buying from ebay....

I want to buy something for my car off ebay, but im trying to get in contact with the seller before i bid for the item because i want to do a cash deal. The item in question is only a few miles down the road, so i dont need to pay for the delivery of it as i can go and fetch it myself. I'm trying to contact the seller, but he's not answering the phone. It's all rather annoying because i don't want to miss out on this. This seller has 100% feedback, i'm just confused as to why he ain't answering the phone.
I don't really need to pay by paypal but it seems i'm being forced to. Anyway, i've emailed to seller, i just hope no-one else buys it.
Come on man, answer the phone. Am i going about this the wrong way?

i suppose the beauty of ebay is you dont have contact with another person and maybe this guy likes it that way .
