Default Fuel pump problem - petrol

No petrol being delivered from the tank (pipe to engine disconnected)

Pump powered continuously, I can hear it running.
Early filter (Two loop type) fitted so no "orange dlip" issue.

Where do I look first? I'd really appreciate suggestions as I see that the tank internals are complex.

Interesting to note you found a difference in the plumbing. My car is a 2001 tourer so who knows. I've printed off the relevent sheets from RAVE so now just waiting for a fine day. No panic, it's a car I bought off ebay originally for spares til I discovered it was in very sound condition, only 80K miles, and the only 2.5 Club SE tourer finished in Arden Green, so it's a keeper.
