Cheers Balzig, I can see your point. Budget.
What started out as a possible lens upgrade when I asked in store about repair for D50 has escalated rather dramtically Lets see what happens

The D90 is an excellent Camera and a Choice you won't be unhappy with or regret.
Don't forget to register it on line and get the 2 Year Warranty. I only have the 18mm - 105MM VR ED DX AF-S and the 75mm - 300mm VR ED DX AF-S so cannot comment on that one. Seems a good full zoom range choice though. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 15th June 2009 at 21:43.. |

(Again you should be able to pick one of these up second hand quite cheaply as enthusiasts are always updating.) The 18 - 200 just doesn't have the resolution of the better lenses so enlarging beyond 8 x 10 is disappointing. What sort of shots do you take anyway? Jeff |

Thanks for all the replies guys. Well happy so far withthe D90.
I tried the 18-200 on the D90 in store and was impressed with the range, but guessed that quality would be compromised. Balzig, I dont shoot anything in particular just the usual family stuff and occasional wildlife. I have at present a Sigma 70-300 APO DG which I find useful esp the macro. I looked at the Nikkor 70-300 VR but no macro, will keep looking. Have to save up again.
