I'd say a couple of hours, I took my time! The passenger side and the rear ones were easy, the drivers side is a little more difficult, as it's a bit more congested with wiring etc. on that side, where the drain passes through the bulkhead, but it all went OK

I started the winter service on the ZT CDT but didn't get too far, what with the one trolley jack not going low enough and the undertray putting up a fight. Then I found my 36mm socket for the oil filter has gone on weekend break with the tool pixies and have nothing to hand which will shift the housing. Plus the air filter was a bit tricky to find due to it being the same dark grey colour as the plastic, it was that manky, and a PCV filter that was fitted by Noah when he was a YTS trainee.

The nasty bit though was when I decided to have a look at the EGR valve. The carbon/oil build-up is so great the bore diameter for the airflow has reduced to just under half - no wonder the car feels so lethargic! So that came off, put the sump bolt back in, dropped car on floor, disconnected battery so I don't start it by accident tomorrow and went in the workshop to look at that EGR valve.

15 minutes later and it looks about good enough to go back on.

Tomorrow will see the inlet manifold coming off too for a wash out, then finish off with a new fuel filter going in before fresh oil (with new oil filter) and a fight with the undertray! After that, guess the pollen filter will be swapped out and the plenums will be cleaned. Basic stuff but it should have it running a lot better.

Bought another!

Have added a 2002 75 Tourer CDT in Copperleaf to the fleet.

In good solid condition with the usual supermarket car park scrapes 'n bumps, nothing a good clean up wont sort.

Has a few niggles that need sorting such as the passenger front door central locking not working and more importantly the clutch looks as if it needs bleeding and thermostat seems to be stuck open.

But the best part...... the FBH works!!!
