Posted off the V5 for the 1.8 with new engine number submitted..... Oh and swapped Radio in the CDT

I put all the bits into the garage to do the wishbone joints, checked my thousands of sockets, to find that I don't have any 18mm sockets apart from cheapo Taiwany ones that I don't trust. I wonder who borrowed my good 'uns and replaced them with these?
New impact socket (hope that I can fit it in as that angle cleat on the joint housing bracket looks a bit near) and 24" flexi breaker bar on order, which will give me a few more days to "study" the job! Flexi 18mm ratchet spanner arrived today, so just need a flexi body (mine!) to use it!

Must have a look for my ball joint splitter (just in case I have to take the wishbone off completely).

mot pass today. one advisory slight play in o/s front lower suspension ball joint. i think it can wait untill the weather improves. thanks to artic for the handbrake mod it works a treat . i would like to thank everyone for all the great advice and the how to section i would be lost without it. merry christmas to all and a happy and new year. will

I'll get the phone camera cracking. It seems to take better pics than I can with the all singing all dancing one!

I paid a visit to marinabrian who not only supplied copious amounts of coffee, sorted a transponder for the rescue car, and worked his magic on a few poorly ecu's too.
