Default Broke my Nikon D50

Just when I was considering getting the D5000 I had a bit of an accident with my D50, I broke the top clear cover for the LCD screen
Any one got ideas where to look for a new screen? I only need the clear plastic bit.
Thanks in advance.

Insurance claim and use the money towards a new camera.

Give Nikon UK a ring, they're actually rather decent for getting these small bits and bobs to you for some small change.

If they don't have that spare, then prise out the old one and cut down a new one from some perspex (local arts/crafts shop or ironmongers) - won't cost you much.

D90 is still far better than the new D5000 according to test reports.

Why not upgrade to a D200? Now that the D300 is out you pick up almost new D200 bodies for around $1500AU here, and probably a lot less in the UK I'd expect.

I've been using one for several years, mostly on African safaris and it's truly an excellent camera.

-there are a couple of examples in my gallery if you're interested.

Cheers
