Default lost images on thread

Hi all,

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but it has been brought to my attention by another member that all my uploaded images from the Cosford meet and Manningtree meet are not showing, it just displays text instead of images (i.e. http://s649.photobucket.com/albums/uu212/jeff3195)

As you can see I uploaded them from my photobucket account and they are still all showing on there o.k in my albums.

The pictures were o.k on here when posted and to my knowledge have been on for some time so I'm not sure what's happened.

Any ideas short of re uploading all the images again would be great.

Kind Regards

Jeff

Have there been any changes to the picture names or album name?

Hi,

Not to the best of my knowledge and not through my doing.
I havn't been on the photobucket site since posting as I use flickr for my own use.
I only used it for it's web sharing on here as it's easy to resize the images.

I'ts a shame as the images are a great reminder of the events so I would like to get them back on here without resorting to hours spent at the computer.

Kind Regards

I think I've worked it out.

The images were originally posted into the thread as HTML code. Normally we don't allow the use of HTML code on the forums but for some reason you were able to post it and it was successful.

At a later point the ability to use HTML on the forums was revoked (the status of which it should be) hence the reason that although the code appears in your posts, the images do not appear as the HTML is not being 'parsed'.

Sorry about that, Jeff. Looks like you may have to edit your posts to include the images in standard vBulletin markup (such as [IMG][/IMG] tags etc).

And for those that may ask - HTML will not be allowed on the forums. Period.

Go back to your post and select 'Edit'.

When your script appears in the edit panel, ensure each photo URL is preceeded with [img] and terminated with [/img].

Type the first [img] in, then copy the [img] tag into the clipboard (highlight it and press Ctrl c). Now paste it in front of all the photo addresses (using Ctrl v). Then add [/img] to the end of your last photo, copy [/img] and go back up the post pasting the [/img] on the end of each photo in your list. Save that and the photos should appear OK.

Never checked that sorry.
I always thought HTML was banned on Forum use
I should have checked earlier if and why it had been activated.

Hi Simon,

Just out of interest what is the reason for html not being allowed?

Regards

Jeff.
