Oil Catch on a diesel?
Hi,
So I have changed the intercooler pipe and rings and there was quite a bit of oil in the intercooler. The car has the EGR bypass, modified type PCV filter, would an oil catch can be of any use on the diesel or not? Has anyone done it with experience either good or bad? Car is 160k Many thanks

Now that the intercooler o rings have been changed the oil will get drawn slowly into the intake to be burned off. This can take a few hundred miles depending on how the car is driven There's no need for a catch tank as the engine breathing is handled by the PCV valve and filter and there's no breather hoses to connect into anyway Russ
