Default Brake Light switch/ Cruise Control problems

Hello

My 02 Connie 2.5 Auto , Cruise control has been erratic for couple weeks,
Now the brake lights stay on all the time ignition is on,
Can anyone tell me, is there one switch which controls both cruise control/brake lights or two switches, on brake pedal.
Any help welcome,

Kind Regards

Thanks

john

John, the brake light switch is of the double pole variety and is a hall effect sensor.

The likelihood is the switch has moved backwards in it's housing meaning the LSM and cruise ECU is seeing the pedal as depressed.

You should hopefully be able to reach up to the top of the brake pedal and pull the switch towards you in it's housing to reset it's rest position.

Hope this helps

Brian

Default Me too

I'm in the same boat. Cruise control not working and when I push the switch back in to position, it pups back out as soon as I release the brake again. Where can I get the switch, please anyone?

And did this fix your Cruise Control Camson66?

*EDIT: My brake lights work as normal.
