Very nice but what would you do with it? Drive it and it will be the same as any other in a few years, put it in a collection and you will need to pay the storage costs.
A museum needs to buy it. A classic car owner I know very well was looking at a Capri Brooklands 18 months ago, very low miles, it still had the smell of a new car, had been MOT'd every year of its life to prove the mileage. Some years the only mileage it had done was for an MOT. It was still on its tyres that it left the factory with. We discussed the ins and outs of ownership and he decided he didnt want the responsibility. It was unlikely to increase in value and it was going to cost him at least £500 to store it. There is a place I know of in the Cotswolds that stores car, it has numerous cars from the 70's,80s,90s and 0s that have little more than delivery mileage, cars that you would not give a second look at like a Maxi, Cavalier and Escort. There are of course many exotics but the crazy part is some cars are exercised. Just because it is low mileage will not mean it will be like a new car, the tyres will have degraded and I suspect if it was going to be used it would start showing other parts that needed replacing. |

If the price is right it's a good, possibly best, place from which to start. The upcoming price rise for diesel fuel need not be a problem given moderate use and suitable garaging would be desirable. A really full service with four new appropriate tyres would be about £800. Would be better with DSG leather but, hey ho, you can't have everything.

Surprisingly, there's another 75 on ebay, with 3k odd miles on it.
Up in East Lothian, and £7995.00, without double checking. Also has personal lines interior, although cloth seats. However, I totally agree with SCP440, about is a low mileage car, in reality, a liability. Mike

That’s just begging to be driven, sitting in storage does little for an item made of moving parts

Amazing which ever way you look at it. I'd be interested to know how much it ends up fetching.

With the amount of miles on it, and checking via the MOT history, I'd pay £5k for that. And give it to the Mrs who does about 3k a year miles, sometimes not even that. Should last many years.........but I'm giving her an MGZT 260 to replace her MGTF. When I bought my 1965 mk3 Zodiac the owner only did 100 a year for 10 years so it can be done

Strange that the wheel centres are so faded for such a low mileage ?
