Default Admiral what the .......................

Last year put five cars on a fully comp policy with these jokers and it was £800 which is OK given the cars and several outside on the street. So on renewal for the four of the cars I have now left I am surprised at the £1216 price!!!!!!!! What the ****? Looks like I will go back to individual policies.

Welcome to the world of "lost leaders", where men are men and insurance companies are chancers who hope you renew without a) checking the price and b) looking for a cheaper quote.

On their TV advert in small print at the bottom of the screen it says......

"Individual policies may be cheaper"

I had a similar experience a few years ago and left.

Had similar with my renewal price from them for my multi car policy, got a quote from Aviva which was similar to my previous years cost.
Phoned them up to cancel renewal and they reduced the price to less than the Aviva quote.
Have had to do the same every year with my insurance renewal and don't usually go with the same company for a second year

Admiral more than doubled my multicar renewal. Needless to say, changed companies for all of the cars, and it's now vastly cheaper.

Insurance policies have increased by 25% this year.

I had the very same problem with Admiral on a multi-car policy, it was cheaper for us to go elsewhere back to individual policies.

I saved £400 by doing so.

Bear in mind that any NCB can only be used on one policy at a time, so if you have individual policies then it can be rather more expensive - or at least that used to be the case.
