There's a difference between a crumb and whole pile of black carbon. Although I do admit it, I am a touch OCD with some things

He got into uni and I was on his case till he got a student room (gave him a deadline to get it by). He´s 22 and been living in his own dump now for a year and a half (and no I haven´t been invited to the moving in party)

His brother is 20 and lives with his mother (5 mins up the road). He´s a lot better but I don´t know what his room looks like as I´ve never been invited into her place.

I went into the army at 15, so any thoughts of doing the -teenage- thing in the above posts was soon hammered out of me. Remember having to bull Cpl Jerry Davis bunk floor once for getting slightly enubriated down the town (Aldershot)..... with a tooth brush
I cant wait for a dose of reality when he goes off to Uni , I saw the mess the eldest step son lived in when he went and the youngest step lad is off in September, which will be hilarious

One can only hope that they learn to clean up in their own nests as it were. Hate to think that they would end up living in their own squallor for the rest of their lives

1) Close the bread up after use.
2) Put towel's back in the bathroom
3) Rinse the bath after use
4) Dont put toast crumbs back in the marg
5) Dont put banana skins/yoghurt pots in bedroom bins
6) Put lids back on jars and sauces
7) Put clothes in wash baskets

Its not too much to ask is it? Am I the only one or I am just full of OCD ?

Mate. I hear everything you are saying. And no your not the only one..

How about, who's eaten all the biscuits, but no one has eaten them, who broken the tea cup, no one has broken it. So we must have a ghost then

Stays round his girl friends for 5 days out the seven but still expects his mum to wash and iron his clothes for free and has never paid a stitch of housekeeping .

About time he moved in properly with his girlfriend and she can wash his soiled underwear

Not only yours, I see 90-100 of them a day, 5 days a week, and picking up after themselves does not come naturally. Neither do manners or social skills it would seem. Count yoursellf lucky(or your children can), as at least you care. A lot of parents don't.
With two teachers as parents, my kids have learnt the hard way, but perfect, they are definetely not....

The trouble is, kids have misunderstood the human rights act. They think that because they are human, they have all the rights to do what they want and that you can't touch them. Wrong. If my kid wants to behave like a pig, then i'll treat him like one. The message eventually gets through in my house.
The mrs thinks i'm harsh. No i ain't. It's called respect. Give it and you'll get it back - that's how i was brought up and i see no reason why it should change.
Damn. Who left that empty pop bottle on the side? Oh. It was me

My daughter seems unable to grasp the idea of putting empty glasses in the kitchen.
