Default The end of the Black Pearl

This morning my beloved pearl black Rover 75 CDTi Contemporary SE Tourer (L4 NWR) was written off on the M1 thanks to a careless driver of a foreign articulated lorry. This was a high speed crash but the car protected me perfectly and I have no injuries at all. I am now waiting for the insurance company to give me my options but I will probably be looking for a similar car, although hopefully less than the 274,000 of this one. Anybody got one spare?!

Glad you are ok. At least the car protected you. Cars can be replaced.

Wow, sounds like a close call. Sad you've lost your pride and joy but she protected you to the end. Hope you find a replacement soon but I'm afraid the insurance aren't going to be very generous.

Be thankful to be ok but I understand the disappointment of probably losing the car

So sorry to hear of your beloved Pearl being lost, I would be absolutely gutted if
if that had happened to mine also called Black Pearl. it was good you are safe and she had protected you, good luck in your quest for another.

Thank you for the messages which are much appreciated. It is testimony to our cars that I was in a 70mph crash and suffered absolutely no injury. Not even a scratch or a bruise. Now working on saving the registration plate, removing the satnav, sorting out a car, etc. But today I have to go to a funeral - fortunately not mine!

Glad to hear that you are okay, and sorry to hear your car is likely to be written off, but she did her job and you are okay and that is important.

Take care, avoid the morons of this world, both running it and those running in it.
All the best

Sad to say, if you played your cards right you could get a decent wedge out of the insurance of the other driver , whiplash , trauma , etc . It would be enough for a start on a good car , plenty of people would , it seems to be the way of the modern world ?
