Back From France
Just returned from a very enjoyable 2 weeks to the Vendee (St Jean De Monts). Unfortunately due to rising fuel costs and my ongoing inlet manifold problems the MG got left at home and took the diesel SAAB instead. However it did give me the opportunity to frighten myself into how much the ZT 190 costs me!
Comparing my trip last year to Quimper in the ZT: ZT : 1762 miles travelled at an average of 48.9 MPH returned 32.8 MPG. SAAB 93 : 1738 miles travelled at an average of 48 MPH returned 53.2 MPG. Yikes! BTW Diesel at supermarkets was retailing at 1 Euro 41 Cents - based on an exchange rate of 1.22 to the £ thats about £1.15 a litre. Might be of interest to anyone travelling soon. BTW I was unaware of the High Viz vest requirement - see other thread... |
