very cheap set of wheels to go on 'parts car'
Lo all, my saloon is about to come off the road permanently. As a result of having alloys with two brand new tyres I need to keep the wheels.
Has anyone got a set of 'very cheap' wheels with inflated but rubbish tyres to hold my car up so to speak. I see Crissy Boy has for £50 but they are in Brum and i'm in North Herts & Enfield. Cheers Mas

Why don't you ask for a couple of "spacesavers" ?? there's usually lots of "unwanted" ones knocking about.

I did think of it of course, but my thinking was it seems a lot of them have been taken of late and one at a time normally. This means by the time i've gone through diesel 4 times to pick them up even with a bit of help , I might be better paying 50 pounds for some old wheels if they were going. I know of at least two people on here who have bought/sold a set of wheels of this nature for 50 pounds so thought it worth a try
Cheers for the suggestion anyway ..... Ill see what comes up. Mas

Look for a cheap set of VW Passat or Golf steelies. They fit the studs and will be fine for basic storing and rolling.
EDIT, for example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-Bo...item23349d4d62

Thanks Stu , a kind offer that would be one of four though leaving me three short. Is it ok if I can see if yours is the only one i'm offered and if you still have it ill beg it
I'm thinking by the time i've picked up from four different locations this could be difficult/expensive. I should have collected some cheap or free wheels in the past , hindsight is a wonderful thing ! Mas

No problem. Is not taking much space in the garage. There if you need it.

Lo Pete , I just assumed Andy kept his wheels for a reason or would have sold them already , I know he has a few as I've most of them at some point lol
I think his all have proper tyres on though , i'm sure the unions has winters on from memory and thats why he kept them. mind you my memory is failing That set you struggled to sell would have done me a treat typical isnt it .......... Mas
