Also when fitting I also changed the short handbrake cable - here's why

Bar the carpets it's all back in!

Just got to get the carpets dry and find the damned leak

Hiya Col.... I never removed the front seats or the carpet....Just the centre console and pulled the rear of the carpet forward..... Took about 2 hrs..... Fiddly I know.... BUT WELL WORTH IT.....

Indeed but the carpets had to come out to dry out until I find the leaks so seemed like a good time to change the compensator - only took 5 mins with acres or room/access

Ah yes, forgot about your wet carpets..... Plus, it is really fiddly with the seats in I must admit.....I had a right game trying to access the 3 torx bolts on the compensator cover.... I did have to put slits in the carpet to undo and to put them back in........ Invisible to see though....

The ones on the side are a pain to see let alone undo and the metal on the cover is a bit sharp. You had to get the carpet to fold in just the right position.
I did find a coke can positioned between the floor and under the console vent held it up nicely out the way.
Had a couple of other jobs to do at the same while the back seat was up so not sure how long it took.

I did actually cut my finger on the metal plate,,,, yes,it is sharp...
