Pulled the front end off Mrs MB's Classicasseur SE, replaced the fan resistor, and cleaned up the slam panel, disassembled the bonnet latches, cleaned and greased, then followed by a quick refurb of the headlights, and a repair of the O/S headlamp loom.

Put it all back together, after lifting the crash beam, now it has a sensible shutline on the bonnet, and working low speed fan

Came in this afternoon after a trip down to a job, in Darlington to find my new Tourer absent

Apparently the lure of a decent Rover was too much for Mrs MB, the excuse, well the 75 is making a twanging noise

Ho hum, looks like a replacement strut top bearing is the order of the day later, she is not going to lay claim to my new baby!!!!

lubricating my bonnet release cables and latches and getting the cable ties out. Came close to getting my hand stuck.... The awkward washer bottle neck wouldn't come out. I think some will be able to guess what was the problem.. ;(

Anyhow - got on with the original task of swapping my dip beam bulbs to match those in the mains (by colour) Discovered that projector halogens go in the other way up from reflectors (Now who forgot to point that out ... Some clergy ). So spent over half an hour trying to reinsert the offside bulb - finally got it right to find it loose so took it out again to bend the metal clip to tighten it up : then did the nearside in less than 5 minutes .... Topped up the washer bottle. Then despite my resolve to get on with the bike - couldn't resist giving it a quick wash - it deserved it after yesterday's 210 mile round trip into the heart of Derbyshire (Buxton and back). And yes they have been salting the roads up there!

Not likely Mark, I've unprogrammed both plips, and changed the EKA

Anyway at dusk, I had the new strut top bearing fitted to the Classicasseur SE, so a quick once over with the torque wrench tomorrow morning, and I'll put the wheel back on and she can go and visit her mum in Teessideshire on sea

The bearing was so ropey, I asked if she had heard anything? no was the reply, I'll edit this post with some pictures tomorrow

And here we go, 67000 miles

Default Sill trims

Hi all
Removed all the sill trims and fitted the face lift version small pieces of plastic and the seal fits over the finishers
I retained all the velour seals looks much neater imo

Bit of this

Bit of that............

I have a plan for the rest of the gubbins that I need to remove, I don't think I'll be letting number 1 child help with the sub frame and rear arms though

They were doing that as well Wes That's the only seat left in the car as I need to put it on the front drive so I can remove all the running gear
