Default Revs slowish to return to idle.

Hi, when changing gear when pulling away, say from first to second, second to third, it can be a bit of a pain, as you have to wait for the revs to drop before lifting up the clutch otherwise you have very rough gear changes. It makes accellerating away from a standstill very slow. If you rev it up to 3,000 rpm it can take 3 to 4 seconds for the revs to come down to a low enough level. My previous 1.8t used to rev up and down very quickly. Is this behaviour normal for the nasp 1.8?

Yes the NASP K seems to lose revs fairly slowly. I had this with all of my K engined cars. Was most noticable on the F...

Mines a bit like that sometimes Phil, if it was a bike the problem would be an air leak ( normally round the inlet side )

Had a sticking linkage on my KV6 that gave the same symptoms, as did another member (Nisfo IIRC).

Drop of oil soon cured it, though.

Yes I sprayed some WD40 up the cable, it instantly transformed my stiff accelerator, and the revs dropped slightly quicker....Although it still seems slowish compared to other cars I have owned.

I checked the throttle linkage, its not sticking, so it would seem its normal. Thanks guys.
