How do I get this and the cupholder / ashtray assembly out?

Haynes is not much help and I need to see what wiring I have behind this.....and I want to install my torch

It's held in by sprung clips each side Carl. No screws etc.

On mine, I had to remove the CC controller and the switch panel.

That allowed me to get my hands behind the unit and ease it forward.

Judicious use of a trim removal tool taking care not to damage the side at the same time made it even easier to pull out.

Does that make sense?

Ummm...so, with the two screws at the top of this panel removed I merely need to 'firmly' pull it out ?

Edit: I shall go and try that!

With the switch panel removed, I managed to get my hands down behind the ashtray assembly and eased it forward Carl.

I did use the trim tool as a "persuader" as well though.

It's held in place by those bits of springy plastic beloved of car interior designers.

I'm not sure which screws you are referring to though

I also had great difficulty in removing the ashtray assembly out. Have a look here: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=18556.

I found no screws, just the 2 clips that Paul refers to.
