Most amusing chaps....

Now, another question....I have wired in the black lead to the cigarette lighter and the green lead to a green wire on the Smartnav...result, it works but the smartnav button stays lit up when the torch is charging....is this additional drain on the battery going to be significant...ie. is the Smartnav now taking current as well? It seems not to be....it is quite handy in that I know the torch is charging!

Btw Eamonn...all wiring is present and correct.....will pm you shortly..

I don't have Smartnav but that is strange. I would guess that you do not have the torch connected to a "straight" 12V supply. Could you have used the cigarette lighter for both + and - feeds?

If it was me, I would change the connection or at least verify that the Smartnav green lead is just an ordinary 12V supply.

There should be plenty of switched 12V supplies on your newly discovered wiring looms. You could use one of those. I think the torch draws 35 mA at most.

I wanted to but there was no nice green wire to match it with....I may have another go on Monday if the battery goes flat tomorrow!

Right, all re-done with wiring from the cigar lighter, I also added in a further auxiliary socket for good measure as there was twice the wiring needed for the torch.(Which is slowly improving in terms of light lifespan). Sorry Phil, I just couldn't get decent pictures with my mobile...lack of light and no flash

And now.....the passenger cup holder is still sticky Never mind, it is never used....

Presumably, your Smartnav light is no longer on as well?
