Intercooler/EGR pipe
By this I mean the 80mm-ish pipe that goes across in front of the FBH and into the EGR valve housing. Is this the intercooler pipe that at its other end has the seals with the O-rings?
If so, I think mine has a bit of a leak where it's been rubbing against another pipe, and it's a bit "oily". If it is, is it causing power loss, in the same way as the O-rings being distorted/misplaced will? Again, if so, does anyone know the part number and/or correct description, please? Thanks in advance malcolm |

its probably oily as your fbh exhaust come up hot underneath it... and stuff sticks to it.

Hey Cheif,
Yes, this pipe goes down to the top if the IC (well, via the elbow join). Here s a pic Part Number PNH101781 Description HOSE-INTERCOOLER TURBOCHARGER Retail Price £25.66 inc. VAT (£21.84 exc. VAT) Mine is oily, but this is natural. Its just braided insert rubber hose meaning its porous. As the contents is usually very oily, oil will seep through over time. Lord knows what the insides of our ICs look like on higher mileage cars. Like an Oil fest i'd think! |
