Default Where to buy a Fuel pump/Assembly

Hi,
First post.
I have A 75 Con 1.8 Petrol 2006.
My mechanic has advised me to locate fuel pump parts WGS000010 and WFX000290.
Would anyone advise me please the cheapest source of these parts?

Many thanks in advance

Excuse me for asking, but why did he suggest replacing these parts please? Usual problems with fuel delivery is the fuel filter separating, resulting in non starting on 1.8's

There is an earlier post with full explanation, How To and images available here please read and consider before spending large sums of money on new filters and pumps.

In the unlikely event you still have problems, again don't spend money until you have reported back and sought further expert advice.

Assuming the engine suddenly won't start and the usual cam/crank sensors aren't playing up. It's most likely FFS (Fuel Filter Syndrome) it's the No1 stopper in later petrol models.

Petrol pump replacement by a garage is done for one of two reasons and maybe both.

1.The garage has no idea what's wrong, so replaces the pump and then other bits until fixed.
2.The garage knows what's wrong but replaces the pump as a cash cow. Very common in the early days of Fuel Filter Syndrome. They should all be aware of it by now and should fit the standard MGR solution as described in the link above.

Your garage is going further than most and suggesting they replace the filter module as well. All very expensive. Frankly, I'd suggest you do neither and fix it yourself in less than an hour using the Fabled Orange Clip. It's all described hereabouts, including rear seat base removal and access to the fuel tank.
