My mechanic called to let me know he was at a loose end last week, result!, so I've had the water-pump, thermostat and timing belt done!
Now if the rain stays off long enough I can get the polish out

Removed the wheel arch liner, the glovebox and fusebox, unbound the ends of the huge wiring loom grommet, and fed a couple of extra wires through.
After much careful cable routing, I can now either use the timer in the cubby, or the Telestart 80 to fire up the Quattro.........err FBH Just in time for summer too  So doe this mean I need to keep it going until next winter? Captain Crappycrimp will be impressed that I no longer have a temporary wire poked out of the cab to operate the central heating boiler. Brian |

I removed all four of the wheel centres. Removed the faded facelift badges, sanded, sprayed, lacquered them and they now sport the earlier badges that look to be much better quality than the tinfoil things I removed.
Well done me! Next job! Totally unrelated to my 75. Re-stringing my Telecaster (guitar) with some expensive 24k gold plated Brian May guitar strings in the hope that I will be able to play as good as him once they are fitted. I very much doubt it, unfortunately lol
