When you do it, make sure you do not pull the lower pipes up to much where the pump fits into. Make sure you use the correct clips to secure the pipe to the bottom of the pump. After it is fitted, feel under the bottom of the pump body to see if there is any fuel leaking. The pump I bought from Rimmers years ago to put in the spares cupboard, when fitted the bottom of the pump was continually wet. I found out it leaked from the bottom of the pump through the casing. Please check this because it is not far from the turbo which as you know gets very hot.

arrrgghhh, quick update, after removal of pump, ive realised that the replacement is half the size of the original, not sure what this new pump is? maybe its for the in tank?... anyway posted back for a refund i will double check ive ordered the right one next time, my fault one thinks.

I don't know why you are changing the pump, but if the original still works, I would keep it in the boot as a spare as you will likely need it

The clips which secure the pipework are reusable, simply pop the clip open with a small screwdriver, and they refasten with a pair of pliers, under no circumstances use worm drive "Jubilee" clips.

I fitted a Ti original equipment one, which has been on the car for about 50,000 miles now without fault, and unlike others I've seen is very quiet in operation.

When I heard of Heddy's experience, I was very surprised, it certainly doesn't mirror my own, and wonder if he was sold a fake.......

Could easily have been a fake Brian, having TI Automotive stamped on the body means nothing. Maybe I just got a dodgy one or they're not made to the original exacting standards.
