Maybe I have.
I read the website to mean it starts recording when there's an impact.
Apologies if I got that wrong.

as far as I've understood them to work is they are constantly recording on a loop and overwrites old data when out of space but when it senses a crash due to the shock sensor it then stores the previous x amount of minutes (changes depending on make) so you will get the lead up to the accident

I use the Roadhawk rider on my motorbike, good camera but poor battery life, got the cheapest of the road hawks in the car and its pretty good starts and records as soon as you plug it into the cigar lighter, my mat at work has the Drift HD which is a very good camera and if I had the choice I'd buy this one next time.

I'm thinking of using a GoPro Hero camera as it comes with a variety of mounts and can be used for more than just this one job, Diving, Motainbiking, Motorcycling. Most of the bike related vids on youtube have been recorded using gopros as are a lot of the skiing ones etc..

OK it doesn't give the the added data of the one you have linked to, but do you really need all the data? Most of the time the video tells the whole story..
I bought a GoPro Hero 3 Black edition a few months ago from a fellow member for my travels and adventures. I have used it for road movies, off road, surfing and underwater shots lol and local meetings.

It is the size of a matchbox and it has a 12 mp lens with wifi for android/iPhone viewing. A separate wifi remote can be worn on the wrist, which is water proof down to 31 metres. GoPro has its own movie software which is free to download. It requires many accessories. For a motor bike, you would need the water proof housing etc. Have a look at the GoPro forum which is massive. I recently posted up a film for the MG Rover South East group on Face Book using the Go Pro It can take up to 64Gb micro cards.

The bad bits about the camera are:

No zoom, no image stability control and its expensive! The latest called 3+ is 20% smaller and claims to have 30% longer battery life.

I will be ordering one of Radio Guys cameras for the 75 next year for a wired in and less complicated solution.
