Talking Hi!

Just thought I'd introduce my self, Just sold my beloved Saxo VTR all boy racered up and part exed our lasses Corsa for an 03 plate MG ZT, its aparently grey but looks more like black!! Its a 180 V6 automatic and only owned it today but already love it effortless power and great handling to keep my boy racer side happy and big enough for the family!!! Need to take it back to the dealer in the morning radio and multichanger are playing upalready!!!! otherwise very happy!! Drool5
My wifes uncle has an MG ZS had a go of his car last year and decided Iwant an MG but needed an automatic for our lass but wanted the V6 so that made my mind up on the ZT. Hopefully I'll have this car for a long time in the future tend to look after my cars so hope it will last me!!
So hello everybody!!!

to the Club Craig.

Plenty to do and see here so pull up a pew and have a good ol' ganders around the place.

Saxo to a ZT eh? Quite a step up in cars there then. You have made an excellent choice though

Regarding your CD changer/audio problems. Have a look through the forums for similar problems as you may find you can save yourself a trip to the dealership with a simple fix that you can find on these forums. Often water ingress into the spare wheel well in the boot compartment can be the cause of many audio/satnav problems if your cd changer is situated in the boot.

Hope that helps for starters

I possibly have the water ingress to the boot but the dealer said it's from when they jet washed it (yeah right!) THe multi changer is in the glove box so should be fine, but gonna go back to the dealer as I've just bought it so they should fix it, it is fitted with a Nokia hands free kit shich will be comin out and the radio keeps coming up on the screen with call tap or press the facia and the radio comes back on, the multichanger seems to have no power!! Cam belt prices have shocked me the most!!!!!
Will get some pics tomorow hopefully!!!

As you say, jet washing should not a flood cause. Search for "water ingress" or "water leaks" on the forums and you'll be met with a wealth of suspect areas to check for leaking - most common being the gaskets around the rear light clusters.

With regard to cambelts then yes they aren't cheap but they should be done at 6years/90K miles (which ever comes first) which is a darn sight longer than most other European car manufactures would have their cambelts changed

EDIT: Beaten to it by Andy. Darn.. must type faster. Oh yes... Lates. He is the only mechanic you'll ever need
