Try one of those websites such as "Confused.com". Through them I found Swinton Insurance to be cheapest. I pay three hundred odd with 6 points on my licence, and a Surrey address.

Location, where you live can make premiums jump right up.
Not in a Garage overnight is another loading, Certain Job descriptions are really high.
Normal Age, Claims, Penalty Points all add to premium.

My price Stated is £50 Compulsory Excess, No Voluntary, Protected No Claims (which I have many years of) Business use, 45,000 Miles PA, Loan Car, Full value Hi Fi and Sat Nav replacement, Legal Cover. Guaranteed Agreed Payout for Write off.

I get Advanced Drivers Institute Deduction, Police Class 1 Driver Reduction (still applicable), Clean Licence, Garaged, Village very low crime area,
No Council Properties within 2 Miles (Yes Really makes a Difference).

The Policy shop....they are one of the few brokers who will actually haggle and beat prices if you are unhappy with the quote....they also give discounts for second vehicle ................I have both cars, the Suzuki 1000 and the house ins with them.....good broker all round they saved me about £400 on by bringing all my policies under one roof.

£800 fully comp protected no claims, 8 years no claims, 28 years old wife on with 2 accidents in the last 3 years parked in the street in Middlesbrough which is one of the worst places for cars crime!!! Still want cheaper!!! I'm with Admiral one of the few companys that would still protect my no claims because of the Wifes driving history!! Hopefully gettin a driving course at work next month so will become a member of the IAM should bring the quote down. Some places wouldn't qoute because I was under 30!
