Decided to fit my pair of new rear springs to the Connie that I purchased from DMGR spares. One of the hardest parts for the job was untangling the springs that had been wrapped together! I twisted them , pulled them sideways, shook them but they were joined like magicians rings ! Then by magic they separated, one falling on my foot then rolling down the street! I knew my n/s spring was broken so I needed to swap it and investigate the knock from the rear that sounded as if the subframe was going to fall off the car. In the end it was a drop link but as I didn’t have a spare I just removed the whole ZT rear anti roll bar that I had fitted last year as it’s probably more trouble than it’s worth plus it made swapping the springs easier once I prised out the end caps from the springs. Once completed, silence and comfort was restored.

Default Filled her up

Filled up the Tourer with petrol and LPG for the first time in 3 months. Luckily.I still had almost half a tank of LPG when I went there or it would have come to more than the £83 it did. That should keep me going for a while though

Having fixed the issue with the pscan found out why the AVS and airbag warning lights were on.
OSR ABS detector, this is a new problem so hope it's either a connection or broken wire issue. I have a new one to subxtitute to check this.
The airbag issue is "open circuit right hand side" so presumably the socket under the driver's seat.

I ordered a bottle of red-tinted car wax made by Turtle Wax from Amazon. I was surprised to see it is made in Liverpool of all places. (I always thought of it as an American product)
I had used their black tinted wax to good effect on my Freelander. It disguised minor scratches and marks nicely. Unfortunately the red stuff doesnt work as well which was disappointing. At least the top half of the ZT is shiny now.
Tomorrow, the bottom half!

A rattle.comong from.the passenger door recently has been bugging me, so thought I would fit the deadening mat I bought at the start of lockdown (a job I had put off for neigh on 5 years!).

Not the neatest but it will serve its purpose.

Without going for a drive, I can tell the rattle will still be there. Testing the speakers and rest of the wiring before fitting the door card I also.found the.cause. I dont expect the super glue to last lol, so on the hunt for a new pair. Might look into a pair of MB quarts - had a set decades ago and I loved them, but they're probably cheap rubbish now, like all the good brands of days gone.
