Default LED bulbs.

Fitted LED number plate bulbs yesterday and ever since my warning light has come on to tell me I have a blown bulb after a little bit of having the lights on it goes off but comes back on every now and again, anybody know a way of stopping this baring going back to rubbish standard bulbs.
Cheers.

You need to add a resistor into the wiring do the car 'sees' a drain imitating a normal bulb.

Halfords sell them for about £9. or there are some on eBay

To make they cost about 3p

If they havent got built in resistors then it could be due to that or it could just be down to dodgy connectors in the light fitting as this is another common problem

You need a load resistor to match the wattage of the standard bulbs, say 5 watts.
Lots on eBay, but pick the right one to prevent scorching/melting anything.

They are better and last longer and the light they give off looks better, and the old bulbs were a bit dodgey used to go off both bang the boot lid and back on they would come. Better get looking for a resistor, strange that if the lights are on after about a minute the warning light goes off.
