Default Great news, Insurance settlement

I have just been speaking to my insurance company and they have made me an offer for my ZT after it was stolen and burnt out last week. Bearing in mind i paid £2700 for my car last spring and the insurance company know this......they have made me an offer of £3160, They said the high offer is because the photos i sent them show the car to be in pristine condition and that my membership of this club shows that i will be more likely to maintain the car to a high standard. I just cant believe they have made such an offer. Before she told me the figure she asked me what i would be willing to settle the claim for and I said that to replace the car was going to cost me around £2800 and they still gave me more. I am such a happy bunny now, feels like a massive weight lifted off my shoulders.
I know i have said it before but i have to repeat it, a big thank you to all on here for your kind words of support and your fantastic offers of help, it restores my faith in human nature.
Regards

Paul

That's great news! still a sad loss losing the ZT, but at least you've had some good news, and a new tourer to look forward to

Paul that's really excellent news, well done you and well done Rias Insurance (or however they are). It just goes to show what hidden benifits there can be by being a member of the club, got to say it's a new one on me, but worth remembering for the future if making a claim.

Maybe if, when you get your new wheels, you fancy stretching the new car's legs why not take a trip down to Calne for the National Meet in March.

I know it's a bit of a trek from Scunthorpe, but others such as actros are coming down from there, and it would be a good excuse to show off your new pride and joy.

Did your old ZT have your window sticker and tax disc holder on it? If so, I'm sure we can sort you out with a replacement in this particular instance...on the house.
