Electrical Issues. Dud Battery or ECU?
I've just come back from having to turn off Tarquins alarm after it suddenly went off (no signs of tampering, car still locked), and noticed that the wipers were moving at the same time. Trying to start the car results in the telltale signs of a dud battery, and I could only watch as the remaining juice slowed the wipers down to a point where they finally shut down. This is the 2nd time I've had this happen, however I'm not convinced it's the alternator, since once it's jump started It stays charged (at least for a while).
Only other thing I can think of is perhaps the corroded connector in the boot that powers the Hi-Line system is causing a parasitic draw somehow? Any ideas? Hopefully it's not the ECU playing up.......

Try cleaning all dirt and damp on the exposed end of the brown/light green wire to the wiper motor. Last edited by MarkS; 2nd February 2020 at 16:58.. |
