It's Happening.
I suspect this isn't going to end well, I hope I'm wrong but the signs are for the wrong turning. The simple fact is that no-one goes into intensive care as a precaution, they go because it's needed to try to survive.
Let's just hope for the best outcome, hope is all any of us have left. |

I'm certainly no fan of his but I hope he ( and many , many others) come through this ok.
It's a horrible virus and wealthy or poor, powerless or powerful all can be affected. Simple instructions, stay at home |

Not good at all.
He'll be on CPAP first. I hope he needs nothing more and can pull through, but he's been burning the candle at both ends for weeks which won't be good news for his immune system. My turn on our dental practice telephone triage rota this week (telephone triage is the only think we're allowed to do for now) We had planned to treat emergencies, but are now rather glad we didn't ignore the advice to close the practice. Have to say it really goes against the grain to be only giving DIY advice to people I know really well. The promised local emergency dental facilities are still unavailable due to lack of PPE which is currently and correctly being diverted to frontline NHS staff. All of us, especially those of us over 60 should stay home as much as possible. Even the fit are being taken by covid-19. Good luck to everyone. |

Good luck to the PM, if he can be struck down, anybody can.

Press while PM in ICU
I would like to think the press would stop the carping on, critising every statement . The bottom line is this is uncharted territory. Whoever was/is in power would struggle with this. It is truly horrific.
But no...it has started already...should have handed power over earlier...then in same breath ....country is without leader....blah blah.. Now is the time to get together on this. People all over UK are dying. Time to put political point scoring, following agendas aside. For goodness sake.... By the way I am no political supporter of our PM, but he is our PM appointed by the people. I truly hope he recovers and I am fully confident his team, who have all handled press conferences and updates as well as anybody can expect, ( unlike the First Minister and her Chief Medical Officer up here! ) will handle this. So to us all whoever you are stay safe, stay well and look after your loved ones. Chris |

Perhaps this news will actually make those who are not heeding the regulations think again, but I doubt it.

Sadly so do I. There are a hardened few that will adopt the attitude" no one tells me what I can or can't do." Well to those people perhaps a £1000 fine will tell you that someone CAN tell you what tp do.

Agreed, it seems mainly the young that are not towing the line. My wifes 29 year old daughter keeps saying she has to go out as she is bored. The other day she was telling us on the phone she is going to get it so she can get it over and done with . I know the odds or the young getting seriously ill with it are less than us older generation but its still bad odds, good job she doesn't live with us or she would be driving me crazy.
