nice things happen - what a community!
So, I was filling up the car at the petrol station the other day, when another car pulls up next to me and the chap leans out of the window and says "nice car". I was in the process of thanking him for the comment when he added "I had her from new".
Turns out he sold her after a couple of years for a mercedes and regretted it, claiming the ZT drove better. Apparently its had a few years since as a taxi, which explains a few things! |

Sometimes an ex taxi can be a better car than a normal car. Taxis in our area have to go through a test that is stricter than your normal mot every 4 months, it covers mechanical and bodywork issues. Our cars are checked weekly and any work required is done and parts replaced. Granted they are high mileage but thats not too bad as long as they are looked after. Alot of cars run as a normal family car never see a service. Paul |

I agree: I was hoping that it being a taxi meant it was well looked after. It would be someone's livelihood after all.
However, it explains the two holes drilled in the side of the console and the smell of smoke when I bought it. |
