Default ZT freshly Tinted

Had my ZT tinted on Friday, in darkest legal 35% tints. With good quality tint so it blocks 99% UV etc etc.

With the +35'c (and more) heatwave here these last few days it was good timing, massive heat reduction into car, so feels quite pleasant and means the A/C doesnt have to be blowing full bore to keep cabin cool, had it mostly on low to medium settings. Adds to the looks well i think....

(Pics taken outside his home/office. Experienced guy going it alone, so good work and good price. His first ZT, so we used the how-to guide on the forum to take the door cards off. He's posted these pics on his facebook page too).

Looks good. I am considering a tint on my Tourer, but need to find a good installer first!
Liking the old Holden in the background of one of the pics! HK model??

Its a definite plus for the car i'd say....and a necessity in Queensland...as it would be in NZ in the summer! I did look around for a while to find someone i felt happy with and also a product that i thought goes well with the ZT and the Starlight Silver. But this seems a good match for a good price.

I did notice the nice Holden and took a look as went by, but don't know much about them TBH...!!! But it looked like it had, had some mods done to it.....

Yeah i've put it off for way too long, but it really goes well and gives it a kind of exec / purposeful look. Was looking at some tints with a slight chrome shimmer to it, but it seemed a bit naf when testing it.

Cheers all....!

Looks tasty.
Must be quite a rare motor out there, especially in MKII guise no?

Yes i hardly ever see another one on the road and never actually seen another MKII on the road....saw a MKI ZT on the road many moons ago. See the odd 75 MKI around, but even thats a rare occurance (as per my other post couple weeks back). But i know there are a few around, i just never get to see them...! It was amusing ringing round for tinting quotes, that none even knew what it was....!

I'd kinda like the fact that my motor was quite rare.
Adds a bit more kudos

Must make spares a tad harder to come by - is that the case?

Its pretty cool having a rare 'exotic' car, that turns heads, has people asking questions when you pull up, is awesome looking an to drive and didn't cost the earth...! But yes, parts can be found here, but generally i am buying everything in UK and shipping over....such as the rear light seals on the forum...parts from DGMRS....or stuff from Rimmers....and then fleabay....main issue really is the lack of local knowledge on these cars. 4 different specialists...4 different diagnosis'......people say they are specialists or enthusiasts of MG, Rover or Land Rover....but it only seems to go so far with knowing how to diagnose issues on a ZT / 75. It would seem...

Still haven't solved an ongoing issue with a misfire......

Lack of knowledge does tend to go hand in hand with rarity I suppose.
I hope you're able to keep her on the road for a good few years to come!

Would love to take my baby on a spin through the sunny streets of Oz. Nice big open roads and sunshine make for a good drive.
