My bush pulling kit has finally just been delivered, I'm off to refit the rear trailing arm and bushes now, plus everything else that had to come off!

My suspension arm corrosion shown below, mine rusted on the underside had been patched before by previous owner. Lower arm bush slightly worn
New ones next to it have had another coat of paint and cavity wax sprayed in/on them.

My ZT is at the doctors today I feel like I'm just hanging phone the phone waiting for bad news, I have a feeling a repair quote would be near 4 figures.

I think I will be learning how to remove a gearbox real soon.

Beast just pished the test. Advisory for corroded brake pipe only. Emissions so low the machine didn't think it was running, lol. I love this car, bring on the summer.

Just stopped to refuel myself.
The bushes went in without much trouble.Just hope the trailing arm is aligned properly.
A bit more underbody sealing to do with waxoyl, then refit antiroll bar, exhaust and brakes and wheel.

Had to give the demonfoam a try after spotting it in Sainsbury's this morning - despite the car having been washed last week, I just had to give this stuff a try. OK, so it's not as good as a full foam lance pressure washer doodad but it does pretty well just running off of hose pipe pressure (water pressure here isn't too bad). Foam ran off a bit quicker than I'd hoped but still did the job - looks useful for regular (weekly) washes on it's own through the summer. That'll speed things up a bit - must've been washed rinsed and towelled within 30 minutes . Just need some quick detailer that's as fast....

Just had a new exhaust fitted from MIJ in Walsall. Cat back, single exit, single tailpipe.

Cost? 295 all in.

Best part about it is the fact that not only is my car nice and quiet, but the exhaust remains hidden.

Happy bunny am I. 😎

Default Steering wheel CC buttons mod

Just done my crazy steering wheel CC buttons mod.
Switched the horn buttons to CC RES & SET + commands. In parallel with the genuine ones.
Now the horn button is steering wheel Rover badge

Video how is working:

Cleaned my K&N panel filter. This is one of the jobs you forget, but the performance I have reclaimed is noticeable.

Done the drop links today, turns out the ones that were one were aftermarket adjustable ones. Rides so much better now. But sadly I still have juddering under heavy braking, looks like new discs are in order.

My gear change issue seems to be hiding at the moment I've just been on an hour drive and I couldn't repeat the issues I had before of not being able to select gear.

Its getting a long run to Yorkshire this weekend so hopefully the issue will come about again, I don't like problems hiding away.
