Streetwise
I've got a chance to buy a really cheap diesel streetwise that needs a clutch. Thought it could be a cheap second car to take the dogs out in.
Has anyone had one? Any good? Cheers Kev |

Never had one but wish I had! Think they look much better than the regular 25. Go for it I say!

I had one that I used for work for a year, only fault was a new power steering pump. they go round corners very fast and the 2litr diesel is the one to have. Go for it.

Had one for the last few years and would recommend one and very economical to run. Not a bad little car.

I have a streetwise as my second car, just watch out for perished tailgate wires as these can make the alarm sound non stop. Sunroof can rust really badly behind the plastic runners on the sides if it has one, can ruin your interior if it isn't sealed up properly. Rust on the boot lock and wings is pretty common, and the inner sills can be rusty, the plastic trims can hide horrible rust. Rear washer hose perishes a lot so you'd be lucky if it worked.
It's really good going around the corners and handles really well. Can't really comment on the diesel as I don't have one but it's a really nippy little thing with 103bhp. Way more stylish than the 25 and really good on fuel if you're not heavy footed. The seats are very comfortable as well, great if you need support on your back. Definitely consider it if you can fix the clutch cause they're really good cars! My partner had a 25 that reached 160k miles no problem so I don't see why this one couldnt. Here's mine, only covered 61k, 1.4 petrol model, head gasket changed at 50k, lovely car!
