A work colleague had one when it was about 3 years old. He loved it and he reckoned it was one of the best mile munchers he has ever owned bar none. The downside was the cost of servicing and repairs, his had a gearbox leak and as it was still newish he got the main dealer to fix it. The bill including an £80 for a gasket was nearly £600 . The first big service was also a similar amount and the parts list did not include anything big like brakes.

He test drove the supercharged one they did, he reckoned he would have lost his licence with it as even 120mph was easy.

So I thought , why not get a used S type or XF type, so hence the question to you guys as well aware you lot have seen some models in your times........
Am I missing something obvious but what about a "younger" R75

Or is it just that you really fancy a Jag - and lots right about that

Andy.

I love Jags - currently have 7 including the Daimler Super V8, but not one of them is an S Type - I did have one, a 3 litre Auto but it started to rot, and was a pig on damp roundabouts (at 20mph), and quickly traded for a Monogram ZT which I still have. Did fancy a 2.7 Diesel auto from time to time, but the number on EBay/Autotrader "for spares or repair" finished that idea.

Still have on retention my S Type personal plate "S55 YPE" but I shall never use it again. Anyone interested?

Just traded my 75 cdti conny for 3.0 litre Jag XF,I had the 75 for nearly 15 years, but the Jag leaves the 75 hands down,a superb drive compared to the Rover.

Contact Fusilier (Stu) he had a 2007 model of that and now has an XF, and Ziggy72(Tony), he also had one and now has the 4.0 v8 version of it.
