Default Noisy clock

Sounds trivial I know but the analogue clock in my dashboard makes an annoying sound every minute when the hand moves. It seems overly loud and like a tape/casette jamming.

Are these clocks typical noisy? Is yours noticably audible? If not I may look to swap it.

Is the clock easily removed? Can it be removed on its own or does it sit within a wider piece of the dashboard?
Cheers
David

I have never noticed any noise from my clock, sounds like the mechanism inside yours is possibly failing.
They are separate, you just need to remove the dash trim first that surrounds the clock (how to guide in the relevant section on here i believe) then unscrew and replace with another

If that's the only noise you can hear then you have a lovely car, most owners would trade a noisy clock for a hundred suspension rattles.

Thanks both. Agreed Trikey, I have been turning the radio up to disguise! Yes she’s a lovely car, 2.5v6 with just 35k on the clock and drives like it too.
Funny part is it took me ages to work out where the noise was coming from.

Have you noticed the reflection on the windscreen when the lights are on during night driving?😎

I drive with my eyes closed of a night time due to the glare from modern car headlights so that won’t be an issue

I don't care what you say... You will never unsee it now and you will also start trying to see if you can tell the time in the reflection
