My cooling system made the whale whoop around ten years or more ago. Before I had the time to do anything about it the noise vanished, never to be heard again.---System still working well in spite of the HEAT wave over here in France at the moment with the original coolant still doing its job.---

I have only had the aircon regased twice in 12 years. The diesel one that is. The KV6 has just had a new aircon rad and regas. I don’t think my son ever had it regased in the 11 years he had it. The whooping sound has been explained.

Hi,
In 16 years my CDT never whale-whooped until the day the cooling fan failed, and has never whale-whooped since the day the fan was replaced.

Mine has been doing this for the year I owned it I honestly never thought anything of it as my ac has been ice cold and haven't had any HVAC issue so I've just left it

All my rovers make the same sound from time to time in the summer. In fact, my wife always says, "There's the whale song again."

Cheers.
