My mother answered her home phone yesterday supposed to be from Amazon requesting money, so she said she would need to talk with me, doesn’t matter how many times I say don’t answer any calls that their name doesn’t come up, but then she answers with 5he excuse that maybe it was someone who wasn’t in her caller list, main thing is she isn’t giving out any info atm all she says if she doesn’t know them is that i deal with everything, but worrying non the less

It is still difficult as most of my work lines produce a "number withheld" notification. I always say, any hesitation on the part of the caller, put the phone down. That has been annoying for some genuine callers who have not been quick enough.

My thinking on that---Number withheld--message is hard luck on them if they don't hear from you.---

How do they make money out of doing this as they most certainly haven't sold anything.
Simple - the calls are set up en mass by the computer, which ever number answers first, gets put through to a scam person to deal with, the rest of the called numbers are simply dropped.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Apparently the scammers have a "sucker list" of numbers where the petson called parts with money no questions asked. These toilet dwellers are the kind that probably rob their own parents too. I would have to be dragged off them if I ever got hold of the NAUGHTY word.even NAUGHTIER word.

The 'claim your prize' via the post people certainly maintain a sucker list. Lots of such cases on TV, where you send off money in order to claim your prize. Once you respond to one of those - you are on that list.
