Door exchange
I have a pre facelift 75 saloon. Some muppet has let their door bang my passenger offside one and leave a bad dent in it. I have enquired about having it repaired but as it has also damaged the paint it would be very expensive.
I have seen a rear door from a facelift estate with the same colour code for £75 on ebay but I don't know whether it would fit. Can anyone advise please? Thank you Paul |

I don't think the facelift/mk1 is a problem, but the fact it's from a tourer may well be, someone will post a definite answer. You're well advised to swap the door, a paint job rarely matches the rest of the car as well as a replacement.

Thanks. It is sad in a way that second hand parts for them are relatively cheap. I could get all 4 doors for less than the price quoted for restoring the one on mine.

All saloon doors will fit regardless of the year, check the paint code as some listed the same colour description between mk1 and mk2 but the codes vary.

Andy, I know that saloon doors are interchangeable but the donor car is a mk2 tourer - does the same thing apply? Last edited by another_clean_sheet; 12th August 2020 at 14:25.. Reason: spelling |

Tourer rear doors are different shape to saloon, not interchangeable
