Glad to read you are both ok. What a crying shame about the Jag. I would be gutted.

I'm sorry to read this Jim, I can only echo the comments already made.
Take things easy just now and at least you are safe.

Really sorry to hear this Jim and glad yourself and the wife are ok and recovering well cars can be replaced but people can't.
As others have said the car has done it's job and protected the occupants but by the sounds of it the jaguar has been severly damaged in the process. Was this on the corner on the wee road that goes past the graveyard?

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I had a head on with a tractor, coming the wrong way down a one way! I felt OK and went to work the following day, but ended up with nerve damage caused by the whiplash. It took a couple of months for it to develop! Some people think that it gets better with time but apparently, not always! Take care.

A hateful experience, but I'm glad the physical toll on yourself and your wife isn't too severe. I hope you had a full scan for the headache - not just a CT scan but an MRI scan, which provides much more detail. If not, you should ask your GP or even A&E department for one as soon as possible, especially if the headaches persist.
My other half had a lorry crash into her car once - it was going far too fast, lost control turning into the junction at which she was stopped and skidded straight into her. The front end of the car was squashed up like an empty crisp packet, but the safety cell and crumple zone did their job and nothing struck her directly - she only sustained soft-tissue injuries from the whiplash, although she does sometimes feel the after-effects even fifteen years later. That car is long gone and I couldn't care less about it - she's still here and that's all that counts. At the risk of sounding facetious, at least it wasn't the Rover!

Thank you all for your comments and concerns. Today it really hit me (pardon the pun) about what happened yesterday. Didn’t sleep well at all so today was a bit of a blur so tonight I had some Zeds
I had to go to the recovery yard earlier to remove some stuff before car is taken away (south I think) When I saw the car I could have cried and will be sad to see it go despite the problems. This is it and what a mess. |
