That's part of my problem, I can "hear" MP3 compression. Probably the result of doing sound work and the like in my youth. I'm rather picky! A proper audio CD just sounds so much more open and like Jules I can hear the difference even in my car.

I still buy CDs over downloads for the same reason, then just convert them to FLAC for listening. I know some people have said that this unit has good sound quality but unfortunately that's subjective too.

I currently have a Harmony setup which is pretty poor. Was originally thinking of getting a retrofitting a Hi-line but the cost is prohibitive so this Chinese unit might be a good alternative and still look OEM.

But then I should be saving my pennies for a new Balance VIS motor, rear discs and springs etc. but this looks more interesting!

anyway, getting back to the original topic...

It seems that some people on mg-rover.org are having a couple of issues with these units and lack of after-sales customer service (not necessarily with the same supplier though, as there are a few different ways to buy).

http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthrea...333136&page=14

Just a heads up to be aware of the potential issues when ordering from abroad, really.

Agreed, Alot of Money to pay, no matter.
Which is why Our warranty is I think better than you can get even from a Name Brand. More of a GUARANTEE than a warranty:

Our Warranty Policy is this:

Within the first 7 days after receipt (When most defects show up) we will pay shipping costs in BOTH Directions. to replace or repair. As you can see here we are responsive and will support any and all problems and questions as best we can. So it is important that you install and test and fiddle with it fast ! We bench test every units functionality prior to sending. This can take us 2-3 days depending on the order load.

From 8-30 days You pay return shipping and we pay shipping costs to return it to you after warranty is determined and it is repaired. I cover parts and labour as a service to my customers,

ah ok how much are you charging all in with rds (seems silly all those features but no rds on current model) not bothered about tmc delivered to scotland? And would the sound quality be as good as my Pioneer 50wx4 mosfet avh-p5700dvd? and are you able to plug an ipod connector that charges the ipod and reads all song titles and playlists? sorry so many questions but with so many different models out there i've heard a lot of different things
