Hi Frank,

As you don't want to be checking plug gaps on the RH bank of your V6 very often, I'd choose the long-life (60,000 miles) type fitted by the factory. In practice they'll last much longer. You can recognise them by their very thin centre electrode surrounded by three earth electrodes. I know that NGK make them but you may find other brands too.

The type which Roverbarmy has suggested will work but they have the traditional single electrode arrangement.

Hi Ron,

As Frank says that he's got the top off his engine for a thermostat change, it makes sense that he is referring to his KV6 and would take the opportunity to look at the RH bank sparking plugs. He adds that he doesn't like the Champion brand after a bad experience with his Beetle.
