I beautiful day so decided to do a long overdue oil change and then noticed that after having recently replaced the front bumper, i had forgot to replace the 4 plastic c-clips onto the headlight washer tubes inside the bumper. So, it will have to come off again, doh........!!

Replaced rear PPD Cantrails ... finally!
The only PPD impact (I think) I had on my early 2001 car were the missing Rover badges on the rear cantrails / C post / quarter light finishers....
... never quite sure what the correct name is, but you probably know what I mean! I bought a pair of replacement cantrails 2 years ago .... swapped over at long last! Well pleased Stay safe John

Hi Dave. Who’s struts did you fit? I bought some for the bonnet and the bootlid from SGS. After I fitted them I was amazed at the difference. You have to Force the boot open, and the bonnet is very stable when up. I left the bonnet up in the strong wind that was blowing a couple of weeks ago and it blew the bonnet shut with a bang. I nearly...... Well you know what I mean, toilet paper job. I can certainly recommend them.By the way nice to talk to you and Karen the other night.

Dropped the OSF strut off and replaced the broken spring. Remember doing this a few years back and struggling to get the hub to strut pinch bolt out. Smothered the shoulder of the new bolt in Copaslip and it paid off as it flew out this time round.
Luckily I had a spring in stock - had a few chips in the coating so gave it a fresh lick of Hammerite and will fit it back in tomorrow. Every time I do this job I think about getting a decent spring compressor to save time, and every time I finish it I think I can't justify the cost as I don't do it that often so will continue with the basic set of compressors. |

Looked underneath last night to find one of my new brake Unions weeping very, very slightly.
It is, of course, on the long nearside front-to-back ppe. If I get home from work early enough tonight I'll have to see if I can fettle the flare in situ, or if I have to remake the pipe. Place your bets! |

Fitted the panel mount USB into the cubby box, and did the final fit of the new radio,
Cleaned and polished the glass then stuck the reclaimed club sticker in the back window. Then some other stuff that needed my attention, mince and tatties Brian |
