Nla?
Anyone know if this is available somewhere/anywhere
Screen shot 2020-04-23 at 21.53.48.jpg. Lives in the front wheel arch (O/S) on the inside of the bumper, near the washer bottle, afixed to this tab IMG_0882.JPG Great choice of OEM material - bit of thin unprotected aluminium, hence mine now looks like this IMG_0888.JPG (unable to re-use, it's actually in two pieces just fell apart..) It's only there to anchor one of the arch liner fasteners, all seems a bit Heath Robinson and flimsy to me but what do I know! |

Oddly enough I've recently discovered that my nearside one is in two bits - one attached to the bumper, the other to the screw .
I'm thinking of simply making a piece of "L shaped stainless(?) and attaching that to the bumper with pop rivets/small bolts/adhesive and then drilling a small hole in the appropriate place for the screw through the bumper, or a bigger hole with a clip like many of the others around the bumper. As you say the quality/material of the original isn't great. If/when I get that far I'll post up some pics. She's SORN'd at the moment and SWMBO seems to have found "several" jobs that, apparently, need doing . Andy. Last edited by AndyN01; 24th April 2020 at 07:17.. |

These are broken or missing on most cars nowadays, if you secure the wheel arch liner using every other fixing point you can get away without using them.
You will find that one that is broken will cause more of an issue until it’s removed, then the liner will sit flush again. (I’ve never managed to find a supplier either)

As trikey said if wheel arch liner secured elsewhere you can do without them. They are not a very secure fit.

I agree with Trikey.
My offside one is missing, and I hate having an empty screw hole in the liner. My solution was to fit a small grommet in the hole, so all is well with the world once again. Bumper fits fine and the liner looks as it should Cliff

This was my idea way back but never got round to it, as above I have yet to see these fixing not rusted and they cause so much trouble.
original fixings. 1 2 This is what I intended to do. Obtain some blocks & cut through them as below. 3 4 cut through to the middle hole. 5 Then drill a 3mm hole in the block to take the stainless steel screw. 6 They should then slide on the tag that is attached to the inside of the bumper. 7 These can then be either glued in position or just add another screw to fix. 8 As I say never got round to it I still have the blocks in the shed ready to do the job on my Tourer when I get round to it.
