The President of Kenya condemned the deaths from the police beatings for the curfew breakers. A human rights organisation noted he has not asked for the beatings to be stopped. It’s not uncommon in Africa for the police to rough people up. Because there is no NHS or welfare state, anyone going into quarantine or hospital, must pay out of their own pocket and they won’t be released until the bills are have been settled. Last year I was in hospital 3 times in Nairobi for 3 weeks. The same thing, no discharge until the bills had been paid or a letter of guarantee. Travel health insurance covered most of it. Some things they wouldn’t pay for. Living in the UK has its advantages. On Friday the U.S Embassy evacuated U.S citizens. Last week 3000 German citizens were repatriated back to Germany. We have a lovely garden overlooking a forest to enjoy with cows and geese for company. Fortunately we are luckier than most, so I can’t complain. Stay well. |

It's a bit of tongue in cheek about me building planters for SWMBO rather than doing much more important stuff like sitting looking at the lines of my 75 tourer. Or indeed some of those "little" jobs on said 75 tourer. Keep safe. Andy. |

Successful day today, didn’t achieve loads as the bits I was doing were quite time consuming, stripped some of the engine bay components out of the P5, polished the n/s inner wing, dispensed with the horribly fitted alarm siren & the even more horribly fitted electric fuel pump, the latter may be refitted but not the way it was, it hung down from one of the top wing mounting bolts on a piece of flat bar, with a bit of sponge to stop it touching on the inner wing. I’ve removed various brackets for painting & removed, prepped & painted the PAS reservoir, should smarten things up a bit when it all goes back together.

Aye a bit rough, I’m thinking of mounting it out of site & reinstating the original pipe work running it through the old mechanical pump minus its innards, so it looks right
