P.s Rod, not sure if you know but the Touring Car seasons calendar has been re arranged.
Croft is now taking place (Subject to lockdown being lifted) in October.

We have decided not to attend as weather likely to be not so good which won’t be beneficial for Dad’s COPD .

Got to now sort out refunds for Hotel and race tickets, both the Hotel and Croft Circuit are happy to do so.

Will see how things are next season and hopefully try again
Right decision Jeff - Croft is in the middle of a very flat area, with no shelter. If there's a bit of a wind blowing, the place is like Siberia, so definitely not a place for Dad. Add to that it being October, which can be a darned cold month (we've had snow before now in the month!) and it's absolutely a no no.
Hope the BTCC teams have got studded tyres available

Homemade lasagne for lunch today - the bad news is I've run out of cider
The good news is - I've got loads of gin and quite few bottles of heavyweight red wine

Default The Chill Out Zone

Just back from a nice walk with the dogs, Meg decided that a pile of fox dung is the new scent for the fashionable dog these days.

Both had a bath (So have we in the process) and are now running around the house like idiots.

Eau de Fox Dung is one of Quizzie's specialities .

When she was still a puppy our Guide Dog supervisor came over with trainee supervisor.

We're off for a free run to check on her recall.

Her recall was fine.

On the walk back home guess what she found.....

As our supervisor has a good sense of humour - with a big, broad grin they, and the trainee jumped into their car with the words - " That's all we need to see today - good luck"

Andy.

PS Quizzie hates baths but loves rivers. Erm....

Afternoon all, It's still really blowy out there, A few planters have blown over so I've taken a lot of plants back in the greenhouse because it's forecast for low temps tonight & tomorrow anyway.

I bought some "Green peanuts" online last week to try & grow them in the greenhouse, I planted a row of these "green peanuts" & a row of ASDA redskin peanuts.

One of the "green" peanuts has started to sprout after six days

Just knocked up a roast pork, roast spuds, cauliflower, carrots, swede, parsnips & cabbage dinner

Been a disappointing day today, too windy for painting, too cold as well. I got my P5 cooling fan stripped of all its old faded, flakey red paint, ready for a fresh coat. The wind keeps dropping but every time I decide to put my boots on & go back & get the spray gun out it starts blowing again🙄
