Morning Bob and Andy, it was sunny here earlier on but has clouded over now, still mild though.

G'day one and all - a bit grey and threatening today up here, and not particularly warm either.
We're now into week 9 (3rd day thereof)of self-isolation - but I doubt the end is in sight

To cheer you up -

After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, Canadian scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 200 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 150 years ago.

Not to be outdone by their neighbours, in the weeks that followed, an American Archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, a story published in the New York Times said: "American archaeologists, finding traces of 250-year-old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced, high-tech communications network 50 years earlier than the Canadians".

One week later, the British authorities reported the following: "After digging as deep as 30 feet in North Yorkshire, Jack Arkwright, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely naff all. Jack has therefore concluded that 250 years ago, "Britain had already gone wireless."

Just makes you flippin' proud to be British, doesn't it!

Evening all,

Sorry, been missing for a couple of days - been doing some of the prep for the repointing.

Went out for a social distanced walk with Quizzie and her "boyfriend" - a one year old Golden Retriever Guide Dog Puppy - this evening. Got a bonus, a couple of homemade scones which were truly delicious .

Quizzie's now fast asleep and snoring while clearly reliving the chasing and jumping through the water judging by all the leg twitching going on.

Take care, stay safe.

Andy.

LOL We used to have a Jack Russell that relived his walks when asleep

Re-pointing! You finished them planters then?
